What is Micro-Needling?
Micro-Needling therapy, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). It is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a pen shaped device containing very fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin.
How it works?
During collagen inductive therapy (CIT) sessions, after an preparation including cleansing the skin, application of a topical anesthetic, and an information session, our micro needling procedure combined with the stem cell-based serums creates a new paradigm for advanced scientific skincare and rejuvenation, helps the skin by improving skin texture, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, stimulating tissue regeneration, improve the appearance of acne and traumatic scars and stretch marks, and reducing the size of pores.
Micro needling procedure uses small needles to create controlled trauma in the skin, and it causes the face to repair itself by increasing its collagen production, which in turn helps reduce hyperpigmentation and signs of aging. Clients generally recover fully from the procedure in just 48 hours.
Benefits of Micro Needling
The principle behind this technique is based on the biological capacity our own bodies have to heal. Provoking a controlled trauma to a specific area of the body and infusing the skin with appropriate serums to accelerate the process sends signals to the body to start producing new collagen and new skin cells. The micro needling promotes a process of new skin growth through the science of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). The most effective way to stimulate or induce new skin is by micro-needling with the Meso-pen’s® vertical stamping method. This new stimulation can be done quickly and easily while keeping the epidermis intact and down-time to a minimum.
Your skincare professional can consult you on a prescribed treatment. Skin conditions are different as well as the age of each patient. 2-3 aggressive treatments will provide a noticeable difference, however 5-6 might be needed to accomplish more dramatic results.
